Launching a website is a fantastic opportunity to get your online marketing in order and choosing the right domain name can give your website a leg up on your search optimization efforts. Start by brainstorming your Keywords. When you start searching for a URL, you want to have 5 or 6 keywords/phrases in mind that best describe the URL you are searching for. As soon as you have the keyword list, you can start to pair them or add prefixes & suffixes to create good domain ideas.
As an example, when you are launching a real estate domain, you would start with words like “home, house, rental, real estate, apartment” and fool around until you locate a great match. Try and avoid having your site confused with a popular site already owned by somebody else. Don’t choose URL’s that are the plural, misspelled or hyphenated version of an already established website.
This checklist is just a start to lead you in the right direction. Make sure you do your homework, it will make your life a whole lot easier for SEO. For more detail check out our Guide to Choosing the Right Real Estate Domain Name
