What's the difference between plans?

Do It Yourself (DIY) plan - Currently, the DIY plan is dedicated only to agents. In upcoming months, this plan will also be available for brokers & teams. Please contact our support department if you are a broker or represent the team. 

DIY plan for Agent - you are given all the resources you need to create your custom website by yourself with no coding knowledge required. Access to all Placester’s features will allow you to build and run your real estate website with advanced functionalities and integrations to sync your site with other software.

Do It For Me Website (DIFM Website) plan - we will build a professional real estate website for you and guarantee unlimited changes and updates on your request. The building and management process will be completely effortless for you, and the outcome will be personalized to fit your needs and aesthetics. It will only take our designers 48h to create the first draft of your customized website, so you will see what we can do in just two working days! Similarly to the DIY plan, you will get access to the Placester’s resources and functionalities with our continuous support if you decide to use them by yourself (you won’t have to - we can do everything for you!), as well as Brokerage Management Software if you are a broker.

Do It From Me Online Presence (DIFM) plan - includes everything in the DIFM Website Plan and more! This plan was put together especially for real estate professionals who want their business growth powered by original online content and social media channels. In this plan, we will manage your Facebook and Instagram profiles. You will get one piece of content (blog post, page, etc.), three Facebook posts (1-2 boosted), and three Instagram posts PER WEEK! The results of our efforts will be summarized in a monthly success report. Additionally, we will set up your Google Analytics profile and integrate it with your website, so you can track your visitors' traffic and monitor their performance.

What is active agent pricing?

Most real estate software pricing is designed to charge you per agent regardless of how many agents on your team use the software. At Placester, you only get billed for agents who launch their websites, so you don’t pay for those just checking it out. And if someone you already paid for becomes inactive, we’ll automatically stop billing your account for that agent. It’s only fair.
- In the DIY plan, you will pay $10 per month / per active agent website.
- In DIFM Website & Online Presence plans, you will pay $25 per month / per active agent website.

What’s the difference between Express and Custom Setup?

Express Setup can be bought only with the DIY plan. It consists of 12 hours of creative enhancement, during which our experts configure your website with your personal & business details, IDX/MLS integration, and also required Site Migration Services: blog posts, testimonials, and landing pages (up to 10 pages).

Custom Setup is available for DIY and DIFM plans. The difference is that in the DIY plan, the choice is optional, while in the DIFM plan, it is required, and there are no other setups to choose from. Custom Setup includes 30 hours of creative enhancement spent on the same range of stuff you have in the Express plan. Besides that, the price covers custom homepage design, custom interior pages (up to 10 pages), search page customization: areas, communities, and custom search parameters (up to 10 pages). Moreover, if you are a Broker, we will configure your Agent Roster (up to 20 agents). The home page and other 5 pages will be SEO optimized by default. If you want, our experts can also add site animations, refresh your logo for you, and even integrate your marketing resources via Zapier.

How customizable is the website?

In the DIY plan, our position is straightforward: you shouldn’t need coding knowledge to change the look and feel of your site, add an agent, create an area page, modify copy, update images, load a video, or even optimize details like featured listings, office rosters, and SEO. All Placester sites start with a professionally crafted design, purpose-built for real estate by our UX/UI Design Team. Placester Design sets a site’s style and functionality, giving you a great starting point to create. From there, you change layouts, copy, fonts, buttons, colors, modules & widgets to display your content as you see fit.

DIFM, in both plans, means a very personal approach to building websites for clients. The use of 'me' in the phrase demonstrates that this is typically for one business owner. We are using the same platform to build you a website, but thanks to our knowledge and experience, we can redesign and adjust almost every site element to your needs without changing the website code.

Does Placester integrate with ... ?

Is the CRM included, or is there an extra charge?

Placester includes our Simple CRM, autoresponders on all plans, and drip email and email blasts. We also integrate with dozens of CRMs if you have one you already love.

Can I cancel my account at any time?

Yes. We would hate to see you go, but If you ever decide that Placester isn’t the best real estate website platform for your business, simply cancel your account and continue to use Placester until the paid portion of your plan runs out. The subscription cost is not refundable. More information in our Terms of Use.

Can I change my plan later on?

Of course! You can upgrade or downgrade your plan at any time.

What are your bandwidth fees?

There are none. All Placester plans include unlimited bandwidth for free.

Do I need a web host?

Placester includes secure, unlimited website hosting on all plans.

Is there a fee to have IDX on my site?

Sadly, yes. Supporting IDX is not free. But instead of charging for an IDX plugin, we charge a small IDX support fee to handle all of the work behind the scenes so your listing data can display beautifully on your site in compliance with your MLS. Placester charges IDX Support Fees for every approved MLS Contract. The fee is the same regardless of your plan and consists of a $10/MLS contract. Note! Agents under broker can inherit access to the same MLS; new integration is not required.

Can I hire someone to design a custom website?

The short answer is yes. We can build you a stunning custom website in a fraction of the time and without the insane design fees charged by agencies. Choose the setup option that suits you best on the DIY plan, or migrate/choose DIFM plans. You could also bring your designer, and grant them admin access so you can collaborate with them in real-time.

What do you mean when you say Simple CRM and autoresponders?

We have intentionally avoided adding every bell, whistle, and feature to our CRM as most people don’t use all the bells and whistles and don’t want to pay for features they don’t need. If you are a CRM power user, our Simple CRM won’t work for you, and you should use one of our CRM integrations. But, if you want to track your leads and your contacts, import leads automatically from Zillow, Realtor.com etc, send them emails automatically, allow them to save searches, and send them property alerts. Then, what we call Simple CRM and autoresponders will be just what you need without the silly bells and whistles!

Do I need to enter my credit card info to sign up?

No need to do so. In the DIY plan, you can try Placesteer for free for 30 days. And in one of the DIFM plans, you have 7 days free that will be spent on building your website by our experts. You will be asked to provide your credit card details while you accept the website draft and decide to continue your adventure with Placester.

How long are your contracts?

You can select a monthly or annual subscription.

Do you offer a discounted plan?

Yes, we offer a 20% discount on annual plans.

Can I use my domain name?

Yes, we highly recommend it. You can use an existing domain or purchase a new one from any domain name vendor. We also provide a free sub-domain name to all plans on sign-up so you can get started immediately.

How many agents can I add to my account when I am a Broker?

You can add as many agents as you want to your business account. You will only pay for active agents, meaning they have launched their website. See more information about Active Agent Pricing above.

Is it possible that my MLS will also charge me for IDX?

Yes, your MLS may charge you a separate fee apart from Placester. This is the IDX world we live in. The data and the people to support it are not free.
