Creating an Account

Creating a Placester Web account is fast and easy. To create an account, go to the Placester homepage and click on “Create your site now.”

Steps:

1. Enter the email address that you would like to have associated with your Placester account

2. Create a password

3. Select your user type: Agent, Broker, Consultant, Contributor, Developer, or Website Administrator

4. Click Sign Up

This will create your account. You’ll be brought to our onboarding screen, which leads you through a simple site setup including selecting a design, entering your social media accounts, and adding your site title and logo.

 

Step 1 of 5: Select a Design

The first step in setting up your account is selecting a website design. We have three designs to choose from: Plymouth, Fremont and Franklin.

Key:

1. Use the Previous and Next buttons to scroll through the different design options.

2. Each design has a variety of color options. Click here to reveal a window of available color options, then select the one that works best for your company brand.

3. Once you’ve decided on the design and colors you want, click Save and Continue.

Note: You can always change designs and colors later if you decide you want to give your website a new look.

 

Step 2 of 5: Property Search

Depending on your location and target market, you may want to highlight different criteria in your property search forms. This step allows you to choose the layout of your search form based on which search criteria are important to you. There are two minimal, two basic, and two advanced layouts to choose from.

Select the layout that suits your needs, then click Save and Continue.

Note: You can always switch to a different search layout later.

 

Step 3 of 5: Site Menu & Navigation

We provide you with three choices for your site’s navigation menu: Simple, Expanded, or Complex.

Your navigation menu will determine which pages are pre-built on your site. You can adjust each menu item’s title and the page content, so these options are not completely set in stone.

Select the layout that suits your needs, then click Save and Continue.

Note: Your site navigation choices can always be adjusted at a later time.

 

Step 4 of 5: Branding

The Branding section allows you to personalize your site with 1) a site name, 2) a slogan, 3) a favicon, 4) a logo, and 5) your contact details.

The favicon is the square icon that will appear in the browser tab next to your site title. For example:

The logo will be displayed in your site’s header. Both your favicon and logo can be uploaded from your computer files.

Once you’ve added your branding information, click Save and Continue.

Note: Your branding options can always be changed later in your website settings.

 

Step 5 of 5: Add a Payment Method to Your Account

To complete your website setup, you’ll need a subscription of $45 per month or $500 per year. You can select your plan in the first drop-down menu. Both plans include a site, IDX, and email support seven days a week. Enter your payment information (and promo code, if applicable) to complete the site setup and subscribe to our IDX solution.
