The Real Estate Marketing Academy: Our Mission
By Colin Ryan
About Agent Basics
I’m a Community Advocate at Placester, and I wanted to talk a bit about the philosophy behind our Real Estate Marketing Academy.
Over the last couple years, we’ve watched real estate professionals struggle to educate themselves about technology. Too often, agents and brokers looking for quality answers have to choose between self-serving company blogs on the one hand, or major news outlets writing for a broad audience on the other.
With that in mind, we founded the Academy as a place where real estate pros can explore solutions and exchange insights to better satisfy their clients. No self-serving plugs here—just free, honest, informative reporting on the latest tools and trends in real estate tech.
Of course, Placester is a real estate marketing and technology company, so I’ll be the first to admit that it’s just a little sneaky of us to host the Academy here. But we also strongly believe we can help agents and brokers meet and overcome their challenges with respect to websites, mobile, SEO, analytics, social media, and a whole host of other topics. That’s because Placester was founded by experienced real estate professionals, and we’re backed by an unmatched team of engineers committed to moving our industry forward with innovative technology.
Furthermore, the Academy is a place for you, the working professional—a place to raise questions, compare answers, and initiate conversations on topics and issues that you want us to explore. While we’ll certainly be offering our take on what’s new and significant in the real estate tech world, it’s agents and brokers who will drive our content, reporting from the trenches on what you’re wrestling with, what you’re excited about, and what you need to know to be competitive in a rapidly changing industry.
Going forward, we’ll be engaging real estate pros on social media and in the comments section to make the Academy work for you. In the meantime, we encourage you to explore some of the answers we’ve already given on today’s tech, including those at the bottom of this post.
We hope you’ll join us in making this dream of a real estate technology community a robust reality. We look forward to supporting agents and brokers in their efforts to work smarter and take this great profession to new heights. Thanks for listening!
