The SEO world is always changing, so it’s important to stay informed on the latest news and tips. If you’re looking for new search strategy ideas, need advice from an expert, or just want to see what’s new in SEO, here are a few of the industry’s most trusted resources.
Founded in 2004 during the early days of search engine optimization, SEOMoz began as blog about organic search trends and strategies. Later, it became Moz, and focused in on inbound and content marketing tools and advice. The company still runs their blog, the Moz Blog, and supports a variety of tools to help marketers find keywords, evaluate the health and authority of their website, and stay up to date on search engine algorithm changes.

You may already be familiar with HubSpot as a software company that helps small businesses manage their inbound leads and sales processes. But you don’t have to be a customer to benefit from the company’s industry-leading knowledge and advice: check out the HubSpot blog, The Ultimate Guide to SEO in 2018, and the variety of SEO courses they offer.
SEMRush is well-known as a complete tool set for marketers, offering competitive insights, search volume and rankings data, and content recommendations. In addition, the company offers courses on basic and advanced SEO, and keeps their blog up to date with all the latest search engine optimization and marketing news.
Yoast is an SEO platform built to enable anyone to optimize their website. The majority of Yoast’s work deals with its line of WordPress plugins, but the company also runs an SEO blog, offers basic and technical SEO trainings, and hosts an annual conference in the Netherlands.
Search Engine Journal (SEJ) is a leading news source for SEOs, featuring articles written by experts in organic and paid search, content marketing, and social media. Founded in 2003, SEJ is read by millions of marketers around the world. They also offer a curated list of trusted digital tools and software, ebooks, podcasts, and webinars.
Search Engine Land is another trusted news source for search marketers around the globe. It features articles authored by leading industry experts, and the organization co-hosts the annual Search Marketing Expo (SMX) series, with events around the world.
Ahrefs is a trusted resource for a variety of tools to help marketers build their backlink profiles, produce great content, monitor the health and authority of their website, and compare their rankings to top competitors. The organization also runs a blog and an academy to help people learn about SEO so they can become leading experts in their field.
If you’ve set up Search Console on your website, you can track site health, backlinks, and search appearances with data provided by Google.
