Placester Launches Developer Platform for Real Estate

By Matt Barba

Placester News, Feature Release

The Placester team is excited to announce the launch of a completely integrated and fully customizable platform, which allows real estate professionals and their developers to build and launch real estate websites.

The platform has four components: a RESTful API, a fully responsive IDX plugin for the WordPress CMS, a theme-framework, as well as an extensive gallery of themes. Using this open source platform, developers can use any Placester theme, build their own themes, or purchase themes directly from theme providers.

One of the most significant benefits of the new platform is its potential for real estate search. Previously, agents were limited to a few standard property search parameters. With Placester’s platform, agents and developers can customize search and property detail pages to sort and filter listings by any kind of data provided by an MLS. This allows for a search experience that’s tailored to consumers in a particular market. If, for instance, you’re an agent working in a winter vacation destination, you can easily create a custom search page ranking properties by distance to popular ski areas. Agents can also set search filters for everything from specific home appliances to historic landmarks

The Placester platform is currently being used by prominent real estate website companies, including Curaytor and Union Street Media.

The new platform also makes it super simple for real estate professionals to integrate third-party software applications with their Placester websites. At the time of this launch, our platform integrates with two leading relationship management systems: Contactually and Follow Up Boss.

At Placester, our mission is to empower real estate professionals to succeed. As part of that mission, we’ve made our new platform available to all developers and partners in the United States and Canada. The platform includes all of the functionality that Placester uses internally, with no additional fees or licensing limitations.
